After 2 years of groundhunting I climbed a tree with this Lone Wolf Alpha Hang-on and shot my first deer ever with a bow after 1 hour in the stand.

The harness that comes with the stand is very bad. it started to fall apart in the sewings after a couple of days. Bought a pro harness that i approved in Denmark.

I looked around and I'm sure there are many great light, large hang up stands on the market. I don't personally have experience with them. What I do know is that this Lone Wolf has worked perfectly for me for years now. I hunt public land and I hunt a particularly strange layout that requires I walk a mile and half to get to a particular spot. I don't care who you are, at 4:30 am., in the pitch darkness, walking through the woods ...? you definitely appreciate a light and well balanced stand. And with Lone Wolf climbing sticks, with some practice, the set up can be quick and relatively quiet. I like moving my stand often during a season - this makes it easy. It is quiet, it digs into the tree nicely and is stable from tree to tree. It maybe isn't the absolute most comfortable stand for long sitting, but you can't have everything and it isn't bad - just not "comfy" when you hit the 4 or 5 hour mark.

Have owned this stand for 4 years and has been a reliable tree stand. Quiet, light weight, and easy mounting especially with the lone wolf climbing sticks. Not so comfortable for a day long hunt but in the end it's not about my comfort, it's about good hunting techniques and this stand helps me me meet that goal.

I bought this because my old hang-on was squeaky, difficult to hang and squeaky. I'll be putting my other two hang-ons up for sale and getting some hang straps to put this up at different locations, depending on the wind. It's easy to carry, light weight and a breeze to hang. It's not as comfortable as my climber, but then again, I couldn't use a climber where I was hunting this year, so it was far more comfortable than my other two hang-ons. I'll be getting some of their climbing stix as well. I've got some older similar ones made by someone else, but they seem to be the only ones making this style anymore and have the replacement parts, should they be needed.
