                The glue has never failed,If one of my bows brakes the wood is ripped apart not the glue. I got my mountainman name (BROKENBOW)before I started using EA-40 Bow glue. I am thinking about asking to be renamed.

                  I bought this product to repair a bow because the back (face) broke. I used this product to glue on a lamination. I'll be gluing on bamboo to the lamination. I've built six bows so I'm not a total novice but I'm not an expert either regarding two part epoxies. This stuff dries to a hard opaque resin. No need to panic when applying it because it's pot time is two hours, but I did have all my clamps ready. Don't spread it on too thick because the two pieces to be joined will seem to float. That did frustrate me as I started torquing my clamps because I spread it a little too thick.

                    After looking at all of the different 2-part epoxies out there I decided to give this a try due to its popularity in the bowyer community. The directions on the can state mix equal parts of resin and hardener but that you can also mix in a 1:2 ratio to allow for more temperature resistance. I mix equal parts and then bake in a bow oven at 150-180 degrees for about 4 hours. I have had no issues.

                        It is the first Gel based glue I have worked with that actually works. It spreads easy and because the pot time is 2 hours you can adjust the fit as perfectly as you would like to make it - thus avoiding mistakes.Even when spread thinly the glue works effectively.
