125gr tips are too short!!

I have been making my own wood arrows recently and decided to get this kit in order to bare shaft tune my new shafts. I think the test kits are a great idea and this helped me a lot. I am, however disappointed in that the 125gr tips are too short in overall length to fit the entire taper into the tip. They bottom out and wobble, leaving an exposed shoulder. They will fit however if you cut about an 1/8" off of the taper. Are all the 125gr 23/64 tips this way???? I found some old tips in my collection, weighed them and found them to be 125-23/64 and they fit just fine. So, it must be a bad batch or something...I would like to order more but I do not want to cut and 1/8" off all the ends of my shafts, so I am not sure what to do....

I used the field point test kit in conjunction with the arrow spine test kit to fine tune my set-up for an upcoming elk hunt. Very useful and re-usable.

I tried all the different weights in the test kit with different lengths of arrows and all shot so good I couldn't tell much difference!
