Killed my first archery elk bull (4 X 4 -- not a monster, but a good little bull with a small harem of his own) with a Grizzly singel-bevel on a cedar arrow with added weight ("Extreme Front of Center"). These broadheads are hard but reasonably easy to sharpen with a file. I then hone on a fine whetstone and finish with a leather strop. The arrow penetrated 13" from a 45# longbow(@ 28" -- I draw 29.5") and it's still sharp. The bull elk walked 200 yards and fell over dead. Follw Dr. Ashby's system: he knows his stuff. I have killed whitetailed deer with traditional double-bevel broadheads and no extra weight, and never got performance like this even on 100-pound does.

    Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

Been bowhunting since 1986 and I am sharpening challenged. I can get these heads sharper than any other head I have tried.

Made very well. Spin true and the teflon coating is a great addition. Excellent broadheads.

      Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

Very impressed with these heads. I am new to traditional archery. I am however a longtime bowhunter. These fly good and straight. Probably the easiest to sharpen broadhead that I have owned. I can get em shaving hair in minutes. They penetrate into my target great and a very noticeable s cut is present in the foam. Can not wait to try them out on deer in the late season this year.

        Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

I used a Grizzly 120gr to take down a 200lb Aoudad sheep at 22 yards last week in Texas. This broadhead penetrated through both lower shoulder blades and was tricking out 6 inches on the opposite side. If I had any doubts about the durability and penetration capabilities of this broadheads, they are completely gone!! This broadhead did everything as advertised. As for sharpening, it did take me a little bit of time but well worth it! If a head is to easy to sharpen the steel is probably to soft. Awesome head!!

          Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

Ordered the 140 gr with the 32 grain screw in insert, took a while to sharpen to shaving sharp but they hold an edge! Zipped right through a whitetail at 15 yrds from a 50# longbow, pulled it out of the dirt, and it was ready for another hunt. One out of the six would not spin true, and some of the factory bevels were not straight but it didn't seem to matter to the deer!

              Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

I have discovered a great way to sharpen these heads. It was with a black felt marker, c clamp, counter, medium file and large piece of leather. Attach the C Clamp to the counter, put the file so it bumps up against it. Then glue the Griz onto a insert. Insert the head into a arrow. Use the black felt marker on the whole blade. This is so you can see what your taking off.

Lie the bevel on the file and push away from you!

Once there is a Good Burr, and I mean good burr... strop the bevel 15 or 20 times each side on the leather... and look out.

I put one through a coyote this Saturday and it was still shaving sharp!

The best penetrating and sharpest broad head I have!

                  Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

These are way better than the previous versions. They sharpen like a dream compared to the original heads. Also the workmanship was top rate and every head was within two grains of the advertised weight. They also trued up great on the shafts. The test shots flew great and were very close to field point accurate. I say the new owners have done a great job improving an already good hunting broadhead. Can't wait for deer season.

                    Comments about Grizzly Broadheads:

I've been looking forward to hunting with these heads. I prefer single bevel broadheads. Of the 6 in the package, a couple seem slightly out of alignment. It seems a couple are not quite straight and I cannot seem to make them straight (which should occur without trouble - my other glue on heads did not have this trouble). Additionally, one of the tips looks slightly bent, but the arrow flight seems relatively consistent between broadheads and my field points. They seem considerably more beefy than my other brand heads that are of similar weight and I would think these would likely take more punishment without trouble, but that remains to be seen.

These heads are strong and very hard steel.. The problem is the company does not take good care in sharpening these heads.. Lots of nicks that are fairly deep... Other wise a good stronmg head.
