        Woodyweights are a great product! After 20+ years away from bowhunting, I got back into it this year. In so doing, I discovered Dr. Ashby's research and decided I would try Extreme Front of Center arrows with single-bevel broadheads. 150-grain Woodyweights with 130-grain broadheads on 30" cedar arrows proved a perfect combination from my 45# longbow. The heavy arrow with Extreme Front of Center gave me 13" of penetration. The bull elk I killed (a 4 X 4 -- my first archery elk) walked 200-yards and fell over dead. You do want to take care to spin test your arrows -- with the Woodyweight and broadhead, you could easily get misalignment.

              These weighted tips solve the problem of getting a higher Front of Center percentage on wood shafts. You have to get used to the look of them, but if you want/need to get above 190 grain glue on tips these are your answer.

                  I had some arrows left from another bow that were too stiff for my long bow. They shot bad but after I added a 75gr woody weight to each they strightened out. Nice to fix it for a few dollars than to waste [$] worth of arrows.

                          I WAS ONE OF THE SCEPTICS, F.O.C. YEAH THAT WILL ONLY OVER BALANCE THE FRONT OF THE ARROW.MAN! I WAS WRONG.ALL I SHOOT IS WOOD AND WENT AS FAR AS 145GR. WELL I TOOK 75GR WOODY WEIGHT WITH 145GR. FEILD POINT AND SHOT 20 TO 50 YARDS AND THE ARROWS FLEW MUCH BETTER WITH THE WEIGHTS&THE PENATRATION WAS UNBELIEVABLE!! GET THEM SHOOT THEM AND YOU WILL SEE Y I WON'T GO BACK...
