              Comments about X-Block Diamond Broadhead Sharpening System:

              As the developer of the XBLOCK, I've instructed a number of persons to use this system, who didn't follow the instructions. The files sit on velcro which allows them to be easily interchanged and conform to the blade edge angles as you sharpen them. New broadheads MUST BE sharpened using the steel files first since the tip of most broadheads will be re-shaped (especially 3 blade heads) to allow the blade edges to sit down on the sharpening surfaces. Once the tip is re-shaped the rest of the blades sharpen tip to back providing a coarse edge. The hones are then used to bring those blades to fine, lethal cutting edges.
              I would put this system up against any other on the market as the most versatile and effective at sharpening traditional 2 and 3 blade broadheads... bar none!

                    I bought one from 3Rivers hoping it would be the answer to easy quick sharpening. I had similar problems as others. The files would move or slip because of the velcro attachments. The files seem to be of decent quality but I never could get a head what I called sharp. I ended up returning the item.

                        I got this to sharpen snuffers, no luck. I worked on one head for three afternoons without success. The velcro used to attach the files/hones to the block are unreliable. On the the side for 3 blade heads if you do not place the file in exaclty the same position from one grit to the next it negates the work from the previous file. It is extremely difficult to get the files on the same angle when changing them out. The files also move and shift unevenly due to the velcro. The only plus is the files and hones seem to be of good quality.

                        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                            The attachment method is velcro, which was not in any description. Especialy with the files velcro does not hold the hones solid but allows them to move a little. Not a good thing. I wish they had used magnets.
