The Kaya KTB is beautiful and shoots fast. Contrary to what I expected, the bow was very easy to string considering it has a fifty pound draw weight. I've already shot many arrows with it and was surprised by its power. Couldn't really notice any stacking, although I didn't really pull further than 28''. The bow feels very smooth upon release and noise is nearly nonexistent. The loudest part about shooting this bow is when the arrow hits the field target. I would recommend using a thumb ring for anything higher than a 45 pound draw weight, and I speak from experience. The leather thumb glove starts to wear on your thumb after a few dozen shots. Good thumb rings aren't easy to come by however. I made a custom leather laminated thumb ring and it works well. I also recommend using arrows that use real feathers, since fake ones can cut your hand... I speak from experience. Well, that's all I can think of right now. Cheers

I am a complete beginner, and I'm starting with a 50# draw weight. It was actually pretty easy for me to string (following the directions), despite what others have said... I'm using this exclusively to practice the thumb release, and it's quite challenging. If your form isn't perfect, it shows. Definitely would need lessons or just a whole lot of practice and research. Proper guidance would definitely help. The bow is very strong, so if you practice form, (which I recommend with a lower draw weight around 30#) you can really have powerful dead eye shots with higher draw weights... But all in all this bow is beautiful and all that I hoped for. Once again, for beginners I recommend the lower draw weights for this bow. I am going to buy or rent another bow at a lower draw weight to practice exclusively my form. I'm still keeping this one though, cause I love it.

Just got back from a local archery shop where we tested this bow for performance.

Arrow weight = 719.4 gr (I prefer heavy arrows).
measured weight @ 28" = 54 lbs (this bow is 55lbs)
brace height 7"
draw length = 21"

We marked an arrow at 28" and shot it through the chronograph several times. Speed = 153ft/sec average with less than 1 ft/sec variation.

I am new to archery, but have been reading a lot. 79.1% is very efficient for a traditional wood bow. This bow also includes carbon which probably helps increase efficiency. Also this shape of this bow is known as being very efficient. Just as the recurve bow is superior to a straight bow. This bow when unstrung is C shaped. This is a superior shape compared to the traditional American otherwise straight recurve bows. This bow almost looks like a toy, but it is a very serious bow.

Since this bow is rated at 31", I was expecting my 55# bow to have a draw weight of about 48# @ 28", but at 28", its draw weight is 54lbs

I am unable to string this myself. I put the handle on my knee and pull back on the ends and my kids or wife then strings it. This takes practice to do right.

Wow! Smooth drawing bow! Feels lighter at the draw than stated poundage, Hits Hard and Fast! This is my first traditional bow after shooting compounds for years, going to take it hunting for the first time, definitely a great value, and so much fun to shoot! If you ever wanted to try thumbring shooting this is the bow to buy!

I was looking forward to receiving the Kaya after so many good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. I shoot a 55# long bow and was amazed that this little Korean bow could sink arrows just as deeply without as much effort. It looks like a toy, but really packs a punch. If you're looking for fun, this is it!! I didn't give it 5 stars because the string guides broke off the first time I strung it-I glued them back and all is good.

I bought this bow because it was different from any of the other bows I own and shoot. The bow came without instructions as to stringing and brace distance but I called 3R and my questions were answered. You need to use a cushion stringer or get a helper when stringing to avoid twisting the limbs.
The bow I ordered was only 40 pounds but the bow is so fast I am having to shoot a stiffer arrow than I thought would be needed. I added a trimmed brush rest under the leather wrap where a rest would normally go. 40# is on the light side for deer but for turkeys and small game, it should be excellent.The bow appears to be a toy until you shoot it and it is very quiet. I am experimenting
to find the best arrow combination but the Heritage 150 flies very well cut to 29". I like the bow and would recommend it to experienced archers but not for a beginner unless he has a good mentor.

Decided to buy this from all the great reviews from the ATARN forum. The shooting experience is very comparable to the other more expensive Hwarangs from Korea although the cosmetic finish could use some more work. Also, my center serving came loose after a while but it was easy to correct.

This is a super light bow (only ounces) and shoots arrows with authority provided you use correctly spined arrows (for me that's 340 @ 55lbs). You can shoot a Mediterranean 3-finger draw but I highly recommend shooting with a thumb ring/draw as it was originally intended.

Awesome little bow, would highly highly recommend it. I lucked out, the stringer that i use on my other bows worked perfect, if not, it would've been an issue trying to string it. I feel the reason for stacking on this bow was the placement of the handle being center of the bow making the arrow higher up on the string. I lowered the handle about an 1" or more, to get the arrow closer to center of the string making it stack less. Shooting the bow is a challenge and a little less forgiving then a long bow, probley from being so light and finger pinch, but i enjoy the challenge. However, the smoothness of the draw and the power as spoiled me from using regular traditional bows. The things i didnt like is the tips or siyahs had a slight twist in them and the quaulity of the secound bow i purchased wasnt as good as the first one.

An absolutely phenomenal bow. It looks like a toy, and it weighs nothing. But it is more archery fun than anything I tried before, and I tried a lot. Smooth, fast, zero shock. So easy to draw. Does not stack even at 32". Easy to string.

People's first reaction is a smirk - until you loose a few arrows. Then a queue forms to try it out. Then the whole place goes up in Oooh's and Aaaah's.
