The tips are very small and I doubt they could take alot of draw weight. If they were a little bigger they would be great. Shipping was very fast!

I had to make 2 English longbows with horn nocks, and i did not have the time to make the horn nocks. In the pinch i ordered and got 2 pairs of very good quality horn nocks from 3RArchery. The finish is perfect, the size and weight are too. The inside was also perfect and they were very easy to install. I am very pleased with them!

I purchased these as an alternate look to a wood overlay lam nock. Excellent feel and look for a traditional stick bow or self bow. Very well produced.

For the beginner bower

The bores are too small to hold enough tip in them for a secure glueing and hold. After the glueing was complete, I tried the bowstring, I pulled back... I could hear cracking and let go. Only to find out both of the nocks had cracked and chipped around the edges where the tip meets the nock. I also have small cracks on the tip of the bow. They have nice polish and color but they are also not strong enough. They would probably would work well on a smaller bow, like a childs bow, but NOT for anything over 60 pounds. They would make a good learning tool also for kids. But nothing too serious.

I grew up across the alley from "Osage" Jim Murphy in the 40's & 50's. I learned things weren't always ready to go.You have to do some fitting. I used the full hook set on a narrow English longbow. I deepened the bores, then made sure they were filled with slow cure epoxy (no voids). They are beautiful and functional. They shoot good,too. I have purchased two sets, and intend to buy a third set. Good stuff!

I will try them again since I don't have time or money right now to buy over priced raw horn like I use to. The second I saw them I knew there might be a problem. I will certainly check my notes and or resources to be more aware of a potential mistake costing me four months of wood work on a piece of costly yew.When did I apply them for a fitting without glue I saw they were not deep enough or large enough for a nock as large as the one I finished, which is just under a half inch in width.
