    I am buying my second set of these for my recurve because they worked so well on my longbow. I have used rubber whiskers, beaver, otter, and yarn, but these work the best for me. They dampen noise better than any other fur and are also waterproof.

        The Navajo Wool bow silencers work as stated. I replaced my beaver fur silencers with these just to try something different and really like them to this point. I installed them on a 66" R/D hybrid longbow with a 6 strand FF flemish string (bow is 43# @ 28"), so the bow is pretty quiet to begin with, but these definately made it even quieter. Mine are quite a bit darker than those pictured (which was actually better in my opinion), but color variation is to be expected with natural products. As far as their water resistance, I can't really say. I tend to be more of a fair weather hunter / shooter these days and haven't been out in more than a light mist. The only drawback I see at this point is the price, they are substanstially higher in price.

          I was hesitant at first to spend so this much $ on string silencers but I am very happy I did. These Silencers performed great in the rain and repelled the water as advertised. Besides being waterproof they made my bow a lot quiter. Worth the $$$

                Bought these silencers for my longbow. It is by far the most quiet setup I've had in a very very long time. You can feel the lanolin on the wool to help with wet weather. Just got the silencers last night along with a new Tomahawk String. Shot about 100 times. My friend can't hear it from 15 feet away. Definately a great buy. Strong, Easy to install and good on color to blend in.

                I am not usually a big fan of the natural product silencers, I find that they absorb water and have some trouble staying on the string when stringing and unstringing the bow. These are exceptional. I have placed them on the Samick Sage recurve (60lb draw weight limbs), which was shredding the rubber Cat Whisker silencers (my usual go to string silencers). These really dampened the string vibration (which also seems to have reduced the amount felt in the hand), significantly reduced the string noise and were just about the easiest installation of any silencer I have ever put on a string. I have not tested the waterproof factor yet, but I have complete faith in their ability. I have several traditional bows and am going to replace all my silencers with the Navaho Wool.
