    The stringer arrived within a few days, as has everything I have ordered from 3rivers. It is all nylon and rubber construction, so should last for quite a while. This stringer can also be used as an impromptu string keeper by leaving the pocket over the one limb tip and wedging the rubber limb gripper between the string loop and the opposite limb, and looping the stringer cord around the string nock on the same limb to hold it tight (see photo). I give it 4 stars because its the only stringer I've ever had or used as a beginner, so I really don't have anything to base it off of.

    Worked well until it wore out

    I've owned this stringer for 5 years. So I guess I can't complain too much. A hole opened up in the nylon end that surrounds the limb tip. So it doesn't work any more...Read complete review

    I've owned this stringer for 5 years. So I guess I can't complain too much. A hole opened up in the nylon end that surrounds the limb tip. So it doesn't work any more. I would suggest Limbsaver look at reinforcing that nylon because it is not very thick.

          Haven't used any other bow stringer before. That being said, the Selway works well. The rubber block on the end has the tendency to slide back down the limb, in which case you have to reposition it again.

            I bought my son his first recurve bow for Christmas and it came with a useless (broke on first use) Stringer. This one came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It is easy to use (especially the rubber grip) and durable.

                      From what I have been told it is not so good to string a recurve bow without a stringer. I had never even seen one until recently.I had a cheap stringer that came with the bow that I bought for my 14 year old daughter. I tried to use it, but ended up stringing the bow without the stringer.It is now in the trash. This one works great, it is very easy to use. I really appreciated the quick and simple instructions that I only had to look at once.I felt safe enough using it to let my daughter try it out. She can now string and unstring her bow almost effortlessly. I cannot imagine a safer, easier, more economical bow stringer.
