    Takes a while to learn to spin it, but once you do, you can serve a bow really quickly. My problem with it was that it tended to abrade both the bowstring and the serving material. After I filed the edges of the part that hangs on the string, and the tiny hole that the serving material goes through, both these problems were solved. Why couldn't the manufacturers have done this for me? (Especially the small hole--I was just lucky I had a tool around the house that I could use for filing a small hole like that.) But once I'd fixed that (and practiced enough to make it spin around on demand), it worked wonderfully.

    I now own both this and the Serve-Tite jig and I would recommend the Serve-Tite in a second over this one. Getting this jig started was not a problem but it tended to abrade the serving material. I also found that trying to keep the string-wiggle hula-hoop method show in the video would take a bit of practice to be able to keep that up for the entire length of the serving. Visibility of the area that you just served is limited so if you get a gap or double over you won't know about it right away. The tension adjustment had a tendency to tighten up while spinning.

        This jig works great once you get the hang of it. mine was missing the wing nut shown in the picture so after I found a nut in the junk drawer I was in business. I like how I'm able to spin it very quickly and serv strings fast

            First the hole throgh which the serving string runs was rough and unpolished and cut and abraided the string.

            Second the person in the video showing it in use must be a magician or far more talented than I am. If you can't make it swing around the bow string it's almost impossible to use manually.

            Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

            This product will last for years. Its strong and well built and easy to use. Delivery was fast and the service was great. I like that 90% of their products are made in the usa. you will love this little string server, even if you are a beginner or a professional.                 I'm using the spinner for serving my long bow strings. I thought that the concept was good but seirously lacking in ridgedity and ease of use .First of all getting it started is a chor the length is awkward but manageable . Once you start spinning you'll love it for the sher speed ! Just fantastic ,but then the weld comes apart and you end up with a tangle of serving and parts abroad . Very disappointing product .

                    This thing could be great. The tube on the arm does allow for fast serving of the center string just like in the video. Just get it spinning like a hula-hoop. The trouble starts with the tension adjustment screw, it's a coarse thread. this makes it real difficult to make fine adjustments to the tension. Once you do get the tension set just right it will change as soon as you get the jig spinning. The edges on the split tube are sharp but easy to smooth with a file. I didn't have any problem with the thread hole being rough. Even the rough edges on the tube wouldn't be an issue if the tension adjustment would hold it's setting. The serving thread only gets chaffed when you have to take the jig on of off the string.

                      I bought this to teach my scouts how to make a bow string. The product is difficult to work with and hard to adjust correctly as far as tension goes. Tends to break the string alot as well. I dont recommend this product as I have found other products that do a better job and only cost a bit more. OK to use for a center serving but outside of that its hard to work with.

                        The tool is well built and "looks" like it would be easy to use... However, I have not been able to get it to work well. I have watched the video at least 10 times... still can't get it to work as good as the guy in the video. Must be user error. I will be trying a diff serving tool soon.
