    I have used several different brands and types of strings over the past 30+ years. This is the best and the only one that I will buy from now own. There is no stretch, it is quiet, strong and accurate for my use. I probably have life left in the string when I change it but I generally change the string every year or so and that keeps me with a clean and strong string.

    I have been having tremendous trouble with the string that came with my new SS Diamond takedown. I have tried Gold Tip 3555, Traditional only 600, all the nocks on these and others just fall off my serving. It has caused me to accidently dry fire the bow 3 times now. I have owned and shot a lot of long bows and recurves and have never had that problem before. I called 3 Rivers and usually they have always been "tremendous" on service. But they would not exchange or review this string for me. I don't understand that when I just bought the bow brand new from them. I am going to have to go somewhere and get a string made for it I guess. Can't keep this up. Just the principle of the thing that irks me. I spend a lot of money with 3 rivers and suspect I will continue to, but was very disappointed in this situation.

                  Pretty string in the green,tan & black. The string stretched a bit in the first 20-30 shots twisted it up and shot around 200 in all and had to twist one more time for the sweetspot. Seems to be holding now. Looks Really good on my Fred Bear montana longbow.

                      The string is great. I would recommend that you get double serving to get a tight fit with your nock. Only problem i've had with it came when warrying my bow through a field with high grass, the string seemed to get a little roughed up by the grass. Guess this could have been my fault though.
