With both sets installed, they didn't quiet the string noise much. I've had much better luck with the Catwhiskers and the Puff Yarn silencers. I'm changing back to one of them. These aren't worth $ for sure.

I've used these for years. easy to install. really quite's the bow. performs well in all weather conditions. I shoot almost every day and these seem to last about a year then they break. if they lasted longer they would of got 5 stars. I use these along with the musk ox silencer's and it makes the bow whisper quite.

Significantly Quieted Bow

My 54#, 54" recurve bow was fairly noisy. I installed fur silencers that helped reduce the noise. Based on other reviews I replaced those with 4 Super String Leeches. They significantly quieted the bow. I added felt strips to the area on the bow contacted by the string, which helped a little more. I had to serve in the leeches to keep them from falling out when I strung the bow as the string was lightly twisted. I also installed 4 leeches on my 49#, 58" recurve, which quieted the bow significantly as well, and I added the felt strips. I did not have to serve them as the string was tightly twisted. I'm very pleased with the performance of this product. I can't comment on the durability yet.

String leeches are extremely easy to install. The leeches make a huge difference in the sound and vibration of the bow string. BUY!!!

I love the look of the traditional fur balls but the reason I shoot trad is simplicity. Sometimes the other silencers need a re-adjustment Install these once and forget about them. They work great on my longbow as well.

All I use now. un-affected by the elements. I used to use trad. style silencers of all kinds (love the look) but ALL are useless when wet and is rains a lot here.
