    Bow sight

    Be aware of the fact that the sight insert that is on your bow currently may be way to low to use this item!! May have to drill and attach a threaded insert.

    I had to get one of these just to play with. Sure made my consistency improve but it just wasn't for me. I went trad to get away from sighting aides and extra irrelevant devices on my bow. For what it is...it works very well.

    The one issue I had with it though was that it lacked a broad range of adjustability. I don't shoot my bow vertical, I shoot it with a slight cant. The threaded rod of this bow did not allow for enough windage adjustment due to my shooting style. I had to go to the hardware to get a threaded rod that was nearly 3x longer than OEM. Just thought I'd mention that for those who my have my same experience.

      I bought this sight to improve my close range shooting 10-35yds. At those ranges the tip of my arrow (aiming reference) is out of the sight picture and I would have to take my eyes off the target to judge my point of hold. this caused my groupings to be rather large at moderate ranges 25yds or so. At 40-50 yds the tip of my arrow was on or above the target and I could see both at the same time allowing me to focus on the target. Now with the SRF sight, I can look directly at the target and have a frame of reference at the same time. After a few groups of arrows I had considerably smaller groups at close ranges and could walk arrows right into the Xring. Using the sight takes me out the traditional recurve division during 3D shoots, but I feel my ability to kill an animal in one shot is more important then where I place in a tournament.

            I'm using this sight on a new take down recurve with a riser that allowed me to easily install it. First time I used a sight on a bow. It seems to do what what it is supposed to do. I'm still tinkering with adjusting it.

              I think this product can really help with developing form and consistency. Keep it on the bow for hunting or eventually take it off for a full traditional feel. Much better than using pins for a sight reference. Great product 3 Rivers.

                First let me say that this sight system is wildly over priced, I just wish that I had stock in the company. At first I felt stupid for paying that much for all three sights, but I got over that quickly. If you know how to draw and anchor the same way every time you will shoot better than you thought you ever could. The only gripe i have is that the tapped stud on the sight isn't long enough, for what it cost an extra half inch isn't to much to ask. I've never harvested a deer but I have killed a bunch and I am looking forward to my first traditional kill!

                  It's not a pin point sight like you find on compound bows but is a good reference to at least get you on the target and to fine tune your instintive or other aiming methods. I found it very helpful. It seems a little pricey for what you are actully getting but it is the only option that I found so you are paying for the function and not the piece of material.
