This bow is a pretty good for the price. I love the convenience of a Takedown Recurve. The bow has a nice looking riser but the finish leaves something to be desired. My bow came with a lacquer run on the back of the riser. It shoots were you aim it. I have been shooting carbon arrows off of it with no problems.

Comments about Samick 60" Deer Master Takedown Recurve:

Received this bow a few weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. After setting it up and putting some muskrat fur silencers on I was pleasantly surprised how quiet this bow is was. I have no complaints about this bow and would recommend it to any traditional bow user.

Comments about Samick 60" Deer Master Takedown Recurve:

Finally a bow at a reasonable price. No fancy finishes but it was constructed well. The limbs fit tight and the string tracked well. The draw was smooth without stacking and there was no hand shock. The limb finish is a bit dull that that necessarily isn't a bad thing. The shelf could have used a rug. ( I bought one for $1.50 ) so that also isn't a big problem. The bow is forgiving and shoots where you point it. I think it was a great buy for the price, especially for a new shooter or for a backup bow.

Comments about Samick 60" Deer Master Takedown Recurve:

I freyd up a string putting on a car whisker but I wanted a new string anyway. I have a decent size backyard, about 10 or so feet up so I shot downhill to targets sometimes. Very fun bow. Easy to use, sturdy, limbs worry me a little bit.. but Havent heard anything scary or felt anything bad.

Comments about Samick 60" Deer Master Takedown Recurve:

I bought the 40-lb version, primarily for target practice and informal competition. I'm impressed by the fine workmanship, smoothness, accuracy, and power of the Deer Master. It's a great value and lots of fun to shoot. I'm able to hit tighter groups than before, and I very much like the feel and grip. Some reviews fault the craftmanship and finish of the bow, and I have to disagree. It's non-gloss finish is exceptionally smooth and handsome. I'm very pleased with this bow in all respects.

Comments about Samick 60" Deer Master Takedown Recurve:

I'm returning to archery after a hiatus of 20+ years, for someone getting back into archery this is a great low-cost starter bow.
The 55# model with a fast flight string gets some great penetration. Being only 60" this will be handy when out in the bush hunting, the fps (the 50# model averages about 182fps IIRC) is more than adequate for hunting.
The finish is absolutely fine but the best part is the grip, it was perfect for my hand, very comfortable.
The light and dark contrast with the maple and walnut is handsomely striking in a simple way and the black glass on the front of the limbs looks good. Extra limbs from another Samick supplier don't have this.
I didn't want a bow with mount points for quivers or stabilisers (I prefer a back quiver), this good looking, no frills, no hand shock, comfortable and powerful, great value for money

Nicely packed, all in perfect order.

I have a lot of friends that do a lot of shooting. I wanted to get in on that, so I got this bow hoping it would be in the gap between expensive and overkill and cheap and dinky. It did. I unwraped the bow and loved it immediately.
It shot great and the take-down feture is awesome. I intend to hunt with it as soon as I get my license.

I have heard alot of diffrent things about this bow. Yes this bows limbs are a little crooked. But this does not affect the shooting in any way shape or form. I orderd it for just a fun bow to kill small game with. But as of right now I love it! Its accurate and fast. It does have some vibration to it. Its quiet out of the box. Its a great overall bow for the buck!

I did not like this product at first. Until I learned how to tune it. Get your brace height correct, and match the arrows, and suddenly a pretty sweetbow begins to emerge. Its stable, in the riser, the nice american hardwoods are not exotic, but walnut and maple together make a decent design, dark and light. shoots pretty fast, for 45#, Kinda wish I had a 50# model. lenght is easy to handle in ground blind situations, and it is very forgiving to shoot. no problem, takes down easy, buy it. by the way, there are many times im glad to have a 45# bow, its easy to pull.

I had my 50# Deer Master for about 8 months when the upper limb broke. One call to Greatree customer service and I had a new set of limbs on the way the same day. Since I had already ordered a 55# Bear Grizzly, they had no problem with sending me a set of 40# limbs as replacements for the 50#s. The replacement limbs seem to be higher quality than the originals; brass limb bolt bushings instead of plastic and the tips seem to be better reinforced. I am curious to see how well the 40# limbs shoot as at 50#, this bow is a hot shooter. I never shot on a chrono, but my friend has a 55# custom reflex/deflex and his bow was chronographed at 198 fps and it definately shot a bit faster than his when we shot side by side. Overall, a great buy, even if you get a bad set of limbs, warranty replacement was a breeze.
