I waited a long time and test shot many bows. When I shot the 64 Inch Super Kodiak I knew I foung the smoothest drawing and accurate bow that I wanted. Ive been shooting longbows for about 2 years now i own 2 and love them said id never buy a recurve!!! Both my longbows are bear so i thought well id try a recurve before i completely gave up on them! So i just shot about 200 arrows thru my new SK 64 #40 and WOW the smoothest and most accurate bow ive ever shot! i draw a 31 and the cast on this bow handles ever bit of it! Not only am i a huge Bear fan but now a fan of recurves, and as for 3 rivers there awesome dave with customer service had my bow set up ready to shoot and had it inspected before shipping and told me my bow would be to my home and 4 days and he was right, i ll only shoot bear bows and i only buy my equipment from 3 rivers!

Just got the 64" 45# model and have shot it a couple 100 times. I am 6'3" with about a 30" draw, and this bow fits me perfectly. It is balanced and very stable with a totally smooth draw, with absolutely no stacking. I'm shooting it at about 50# and it shoots arrow weights of 325 gr. to 500 gr. in very good groups without changing my 8.25 brace height. I'll probably fine tune it to shoot the lighter arrows for 3D competitions, as it shoots fast and flat. The beauty and construction is every bit as good as the vintage bows of the 60's, which I collect (and shoot!). 3Rivers is where I buy all my new bows. Their expertise and customer service is excellent. This is an A+ bow!

I decided to buy a new "nice" bow after 35 years with my old all fiberglass one. After a good bit of research I settled on the Greyling Green Super Kodiak 64", 45# draw. I would recommend it to a hunter as it is more than powerful enough to hunt with at any reasonable range. But, the real reason I bought it, is to use for recreational archery and it is plenty accurate for that! It has a smooth draw and great ergonomics. Being 6'1" tall with long arms, many other bows feel too small to me, the 64" length of this bow feels good and lets me draw it a bit further without excess effort.

On a side note, it is a very handsome looking bow and has a lot of character, the green finish on the limbs offsets nicely with the Bubinga wood. Its attractive enough to make a display bow should you choose to do so. A few days after it arrived I took it to a local indoor archery range, I am not exaggerating when I say that everyone there wanted to see it and I let everyone who wanted to shoot it do so. The most common comment uttered was "that's nice!"

the SK GG is awesome Love it , disapointed that 3 rivers gave Me a 2011 when we are almost into 2013 , and I told them to make sure its a 2012, besides that great bow Highly recommend way better than the take down !

I GOT MY BOW AND AS SOON AS I STRUNG IT AND PUT A ARROW ON IT I NEW I HAD A PROBLEM.THE RISER WAS ABOUT A 3/16 THICKER AT THE BELLY THAN THE BACK.THIS CAUSED MY ARROW NOCK TO BE 3/4 OF A INCH TO THE LEFT OF THE STRING WHEN IT WAS HELD FLUSH AGAINST THE RISER.THAT'S 3/4IN. FROM BEING CENTRE SHOT.OBVIOUSLY A UNSKILLED WORKER HAD USED THE BELT SANDER.ALSO THE INSPECTOR MISSED IT .BEAR SEEMS TO BE A COMMERCIAL ENTERPRISE THAT HIRES MACHINE OPERATORS BUT NOT BOYERS.
3 RIVERS TOOK IT BACK AND DAVE OFFERED TO GO HAND PICK ME ONE WHICH IS ALL THEY COULD DO.SO 3R SERVICE IS GOOD AND THEY STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL.I DECIDED NOT TO GET ONE.IT JUST SHOOK MY FAITH A BIT.
HAVING SAID THAT I STILL THINK THIS IS A GOOD DESIGN.64 IN. MEANS NO FINGER PINCH.ALSO IT IS A BIG BOW WITH A HEAVY RISER WHICH WILL ABSORB ANY
HAND SHOCK EVEN IF YOU SHOOT A 70# WEGHT OR A LIGHTER ARROW.GREEN IS OK IT BLENDS INTO THE WOODS.AND THE WHITE TRIM LOOKS GOOD THOUGH THE INEXPERIENCED WORKER FOLLOWED THE TRIM VISUALLY RATHER THAN BY FEEL WHILE SANDING AND THIS LEFT THE FRONT OF THE GRIP A LITTLE SQUARER THAN ROUND SO IT CREATED A PRESSURE POINT ON MY INDEX FINGER.ROUND IS GOOD SQUARE IS BAD.
IF BEAR COULD GET SOME EXPERIENCED WORKERS AND INSPECTORS THAT AREN'T ASLEEP---YOU KNOW QUALITY CONTROL.THE BOWS WOULD BE JUST FINE.

I've felt that it was an imperative for me to have at least one Bear bow. I chose the Super K GG because I really liked the idea of the 64" length. I got the 55# model, and I'm very pleased with it.

The bow draws smoothly, feels good in the hand, and aims intuitively. It isn't necessarily the fastest bow available, but it does well with the provided D97 string. I see mid 170s in fps from a 556 grain 2216 arrow, and low 190s from a 466 grain carbon. I should mention that there's almost no difference in noise or vibration when shooting a light arrow.

The bow is understated in room light, but under bright sunlight, the bubinga has a fiery glow to it, which I appreciate. The green glass looks nice, and I like the two color string.

This is a fine bow, and has become one of my favorites to shoot. If you have a draw of more than 28", this 64 inch bow is an e-ticket ride.

I was very excited to receive this bow and for good reason. It is so beautifully constructed that I thought about just hanging it on the wall. I did string it up and shoot and I was impressed with its speed, power, and quiet shooting. However, after a few hundred shots I noticed fine lines developing on the face of the limbs just above the riser fadeouts on the top and bottom limbs. I was shocked and disappointed to say the least. I immediately unstrung the bow and emailed pictures to bear customer service. The gentleman I talked to told me that it was a finish issue and gave me a number to send it back to be repaired. I am currently in the process of doing that, on my own dime... I will say that this is leaving a sour taste in my mouth, but I am remaining optimistic that the bow will come back to me fully repaired.

After looking at several bows and considering the prices I settled on the 64 inch S K in 45# . I have a long draw along with old shoulders I figured the longer bow would be better for me . This bow is sweet to handle . Smooth to draw with no stack at my 30.5 " draw. I set the nock and went right to shooting . The G G S K is a very attactive bow .
3Rivers service is top notch . Received my bow in 3 days.
