    the second best bow 3 rivers carries besides the tomahawk legacy takedown bow. beautifull bow. the best craftsmanship. very very fast bow. something to show off to buddies and keep as a family heirloom. the bow is a little pricy though. very accurate shot my first deer with traditioknal equipment with it. smooth shooter

      The folks at Three Rivers Archery have made the perfect longbow. Right out of the box this bow shoots well. No handshock extremely accurate comes with bowstringer. The bow was in stock and did'nt have to wait for months to have one made. Priced right. Delivery was quick and easy.

            I owned a 45# woodland hunter at 64" and it was honestly one of the best shooting bows I ever owned. The draw was smooth and the bow was fast and quiet and not to mention beautiful. I ran into some financial problems so I had to let it go, but just ordered another at 55# and cant wait for it to come. As always 3rivers is great to deal with as they are prompt on receiving orders and shipping items.

              I have been shooting a bow for about 48 years, starting at age four and working my way up through various recurves. Hunting has always been my main goal, but I also just enjoy the act of casting an arrow, be it at targets, stumps or whatever. I shot a compound for a few years (1978-1982)and although the use of sights increased my hunting success, it just didn't have the magic of traditional archery and actually sent me into a haiatus for a time. A few years ago I started admiring longbows, not only the concept of going to a more primitive bow design, but I also had great admiration for the beauty of their lines and workmanship.
              After considerable timedoing research and reading reviews on longbows I decided on the Tomahawk Woodland Hunter. I ordered the 64" model, 65#s @ 28". I could not be more pleased, nor have made a better choice! As many before me have said, pictures cannot do it justice! The beauty and workmanship are top of the line. Makes me want to start a Tomahawk collection as I have never seen the Desert Fox or SS in person, lol.It shoots like a dream. Smooth, stable and fast with absolutely no handshock. Even without silencers it is the most quiet bow I have ever shot. I can honestly say I don't care to shoot anything else now, my recurves will be retired to wall decorations/collectors items unless I need a loaner for a guest or a spare for Safari.

              Three Rivers has been great. I ordered a couple of youth bows at the same time. I was notified right way that the Tomahawk was back ordered and I knew it could take up to sixteen weeks to have one built and shipped. My youth bows were shipped immediately. The Tomahawk was finished and shipped in twelve weeks, I was notified via e-mail that it was being shipped which was very handy as in the interim we decided to have our house remodeled and were temporarily at a different address, so I was able to make sure I was there for delivery.

              I couldn't be more pleased with this fine bow or the service at Three Rivers! Will definitely be doing more business with them in the future!

                For what this bow is, it's great! It's a very beautiful bow in both appearance as well as performance. The color and construction are both fantastic! It's consistent and very smooth to draw from front to back. I found it to be quite zippy to shoot...not so 'blah' like other bows I've shot.

                I was told when I got it that other people with long draw lengths (32") shoot the 64" Tomahawk with no problems. This was not the case for me. I found with a 32" draw that I was having finger pinch issues that I didn't find very enjoyable after shooting for more than half an hour. This was the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
                Bottom line: wouldn't recommend this bow if you have a long draw. Get a longer bow (68"-70") if you plan on doing a reasonable amount of shooting (2-3x a week for a couple hours)...again, if you have a long draw. Just my humble opinion.

                Other than that, it's a pretty sweet bow that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a high quality smooth shooting longbow.

                  This was my first long bow so I didn't know what to expect. I got the 64" and 60#@28. I love this bow! I have more fun shooting this than any of my compounds. I've tried carbon and wooden arrows and they are equally accurate. I encourage you to try both with this one. I am not disappointed at all with the Woodland Hunter and the service with 3Rivers is the best in the business! Great bow!

                    I want to start by saying,My first bow was a browning safari2 that was 40 years ago.Then I went with Elburgs recurve and longbow.I been shooting along time and can call myself an archer.The Woodland Hunter is the best bow I ever picked up,no flaws none,this is the smoothest bow I have ever shot.It is a thing of beauty and an art form of functional purpose unmatched by any other means.
                    I had just given my son a full setup the Elburg a quiver 21 arrows arm gaurd glove, in hopes he would enjoy the sport.I had know idea what I was going to get to replace my gear or how much it would cost.I called Three Rivers and made my order. Everything perfect quiver perfect glove perfect arrows perfect arm protection perfect.Customer service perfect.If your looking for a bow or anything to do with the sport Three rivers is the place.I will forever have nothing but good to say about this company.For the first time in a long time I got more than my moneys worth..

                      This is by far the most beautiful bow i have ever seen and I`ve seen alot. It shoot where i look with no hand shock at all. I ordered 50# but could easily go with 60#. I use it for hunting, 3D and FITA barebow target tournaments. My only problem is that I can not stop shooting it. It`s worth every penny.
