This dvd was very well planned and thought out. The bowyers arn't stumbling about trying to cram a lot of information or random thoughts into a short period. This video is 90+ minutes long and contains a wealth of knowlage throughout. They take you through, step by step, on the whole process of making an English Warbow. Some aspects I wished that they would have elaborated a little bit or gone into more detail, but I was able to find any other information I needed from online research and talking to other bowmakers. This is a great showing on the how to's from prepping and gluing to noching and tillering. The spent a considerable amount of time explaining the importance and showing proper tilling. Definatly a great topic to cover for beginners. Any measurements, profiles, or dimesions they use in the dvd can be accessed by inserting it into a computer and pulling the Adobe form. Very impresseed with this DVD.

Thorough, easy to follow, and concise DVD concerning the construction of the laminated English Warbow. Highly recommended for anyone looking to build their own laminated warbow. I'm hoping they come out with a yew wood warbow tutorial as well. Well done!

Steve Stratton really gives you a good step by step informative video here. He slowly takes you from one step to the other while explaining what he is doing and why. A good teacher and bowyer.
I'd recommend this to anyone who learns visually more so than by just simply reading about things who wants to build any "D" styled longbow as this explains how to get a good shaped bow.

this dvd is a great resource for anyone interested in building their own laminated warbow.The instructions are layed out and explained in great detail all the steps required to put together your bow from choosing materials and cutting out your laminations right through to glue up and tillering and applying your finish.All the steps are easy to follow but a certain amount of ability to use woodworking tools will be required by the viewer wishing to build his own bow,also a few power tools might come in handy.such as a bandsaw ,a thicknesser and a linisher (belt sander).Though it has to be said the whole project can be finished using only hand tools and elbow grease.
