      This book explains the role of the subconscious in archery shooting. It uses plain language to describe the psychology of conscious and sub-cunscious activities, and hand-eye coorination. Easy to follow, fun to read, and just makes sense. In explaining what the human mind is doing when shooting a bow, it suggests a logical training sequence. Confidence building.

          I'M EMBARRASSED TO WRITE THIS REVUE BECAUSE IT IS NEGATIVE.I CAN SHOOT VERY WELL AND UNDERSTAND FORM AND AIMING.FROM MY EXPERIENCE I'D SAY THIS BOOK WOULD BE OF NO USE TO A BEGINNER OR EXPERT.
          IN MY OPINION THE BOOK TRIES TO DESCRIBE A PICTURE
          BY SAYING IT IS BLUE,GREEN, AND WHITE YET TELLS YOU NOTHING OF WHAT THE PICTURE IS.
          READ ANOTHER BOOK.

            This is a fine book, although not the best in my view. It's a short book and it's worth taking the time to read it. I do think what is said could be made more concise. At times I feel like he's got an hour to fill with twenty minutes of information.
            I'm sure his techniques are very valuable for many, but the idea of projecting a mental spot onto the target instead of picking a spot that exists is more effort than needed.
            Even with what I would consider faults, it's not to be overlooked in the learning process. Afterall, we should be discerning what works for us as individuals, which is one of his main points. I've read it a couple of times and I'll read it again.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                This book explains Instinctive Archery very well. Also the one thing I like about it the most is that the author tells you to shoot the way you are comfortable. This is a great book!!! I read the whole book the same day I got it. I am sure I will read it many more times.

                  This guy puts together a concoction that will transform anyones shooting. I sometimes think it must be VooDoo - it works so magically well. On the other hand, the author does have a Ph.D. in psychology so it must be science instead of VooDoo. I've loaned the book to a number of friends and the transformation was unreal. They think it's VooDoo too! Once you have the basics of archery down, this book will take you for a real ride.

                    I've been shooting traditional for 25 years and was always reading new books hoping I could find some info that would get me to the next level. I experienced constant improvement due to practice and time, however, this book taught me things I never could have dreamed of. I've read it at least half a dozen times and each time I discover another nugget of wisdom that, when applied, takes my accuracy and consistency to a new level. I have a confidence now I never had before. I don't have target panic, but I discovered the drills work magic when it comes to gaining increased control over where the arrow goes. I love this book!
