The book takes you back into the moment of the hunt like your right there with Mike. Someday I love to meet Mike in person or hunt with him! What a great book and awesome pictures too , his video of Primal Dreams is also my favorite video too! Must have book!

I dont read much but this book sucked me in from the start, I couldnt put it down. Mike takes you throughout his lifes journey as he becomes a true solo traditional bowhunter. From gear to tactics, to why going solo can change you as a person through self reliance and determinaton. His stories put you right in the action and you can feel his adrenalin. This book is a must for any Traditional Bowunter! and the pictures of his trophys and travels make it that much better.

This was a christmas present from my mother. This was a quick read cover to cover. The only negative was that i stayed up all night reading it and was too tired to hunt rabbits in the morning. This book transports you to an elk hunt one chapter and a moose hunt the next, the author tells the true values of bowhunting and ethics. A great read

This is the best hunting book I have read in a long time. IF you pay attention when you read it, you will pick up tons of tips buried in the author's entertaining stories of his adventures thru the years.
