    Bunch up and come off

    These did not really quite my bow all that much and after about a month of use, they have pretty much come off. The string groove on my limbs forced these to the side and eventually pushed them off the bow. They did not help that much and did not stay on that long. I would not get them again or recommend them.

          I added these silencers to my new Grizzley and they really did the job to quiet the bow down. After setting the brace height and nocking point, there was still some noise form string slap, so I bought these. They certainly dod make a difference. I'll have this new bow ready for hunting this coming season, partly with the help of these groove silencers. I'd recommend them if you seem to have a bow that is louder than you think it should be.

            I realize this could be made at home. For the money, and time saved it is a great product. Delivery was fast and cheap. I all ready had cat whiskers on my recurve. Now with this product my bow is so quiet all I hear is the arrow in the air. My only issue is in our lovely Alaskan weather the adhesive struggled on the edges. It would be nice to have color selection.

              Combined with string whiskers and Beaver hair shelf rest has by bow quieter than ever!! Wish it came without self-adhesive however. Barge Cement and carefull application would be far superior

              i bought the calf hair string dampeners for my recurve bow. when i recieved them and opened the package, my first thought was this is pretty much what i thought i was getting. they are easy to apply and definately help quiet your bow, a little. i am satisfied with the product, but i did find myself wishing they were a bit thicker and the adhesive stronger. overall, the product is what it is described as, and priced fairly.

                  These things really work! Once I put these and my beaver fur silencers on my bow quited down dramatically. One downside I've found is that when stringing my recurve, it tends to move them around if you do not pick up and set them into the string groove, but overall they work great

                    These groove silencers are a must have for any recurve bow. They nearly eliminate the resounding slap noise inherent in recurve bows, save wear and tear on both the limbs and the string, and are extremely easy to install. I haven't owned them long enough to know exactly how long they will last, but at the price they can be affordably replaced, more so than a string and certainly limbs. The noise reduction alone make the purchase worthwhile. Couple this with fur string silencers and your recurve bow will be silent enough for any hunt, at least while shooting. Anything else is up to the hunter. A great purchase indeed.
