    If you are tired of the proliferation of poor quality "whisper--shoot, whisper--shoot" videos that only show arrow impacts, rock music, and screaming, thumbs-up hunters, buy this video. This is truly the finest hunting video ever. It shows many downed animals, but not all the arrow impacts. Great music and fantastic outdoor videography from Alaska to the Rockies to the midwest, game and non-game species and the best of nature and hunting. Rather than a full narration, simple philosophical "tidbits" and thoughts on hunting are inserted. A must have video.

    If you are wanting to buy a hunting dvd, then this is not for you. I was interested for the first 5 minutes, but the music and the constant video footage of game became too repetitive. The music is good, but once again not a hunting dvd. I found this to be more of an eductation video and not for what I was looking for. I can see where the Wensel brothers were going with this, and they had a good thing going but they drug it out way too long.

      This is the best of the best. I have watched this movie perhaps 40 times and never get tired of it. It is a benchmark that all hunting movies should be measured against. In a world of punk music, incoherent babbling, and bias marketing of bogus products this production is a much needed cool drink of water in a other wise dessert of trash disguised as outdoor entertainment.

      Cinematography is great. great showcase for ethical hunting and nature appreciation. Can be a little long-winded at times, a lot of footage showing game walking around and browsing. those with short attention span (like me) might struggle to stay interested. second half of the film shows a taste of hunting, some great footage of hunters in the woods, observing game and just enjoying nature.

      commentary is well intended and obviously comes from the heart of true hunters who care about nature, but can be a little on the introspective side. Endless footage of nature and game, but not much for the arrow shooter.

      well made though, and with a good message.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

            Absolutely awesome!

            The Wensels are such an impressive duo! The amount of work that obviously went into this production is unimagineable. The imagery is phenomenal and the writing and naration are deep and meaningful.

            A must-see for any bowhunter or anyone who doesn't see why the bowhunter is a conservationist.

            This is a very well made DVD. I am so happy to finally watch a hunting dvd that is not constantly pushing a product down my throat. I would have given it 5 stars but there are very few harvests at all in the film. I wanted to see more arrows hitting game. I don't care about product placement, I just wanted more arrows in flight. With that said, I still feel this DVD is a must own for every bowhunter. It describes exactly why we are drawn to hunt, and does so with beautiful music and landscapes, they just could have added more arrows hitting game while the nice music was playing. A beautiful and touching film, I am very happy to own this product and will watch it happily multiple times a year to fill the void until hunting season rolls around again.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

                I must say I was very dissapointed with this DVD. I understood it to be a "different" kind of hunting video, but I expected at least a little bit of actual hunting footage. This is a nature show that talks about hunting. There was one deer shot on camera. Really? I knew going in this was a differnt kind of dvd, but at least expected some hunting. Bottom line, They could have taken out the very few turkey and deer kill shots and called it a nature series. If I wasn't in Afghanistan right now I'd send this dvd back.

                Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                    This movie is comprised of good cinematography coupled with a documentary sort of approach. The result is an excellent portrayal of hunting and traditional bowhunters. It would be a good introduction to hunting for most any viewer. There are not a lot of kill shots like you get on many movies but if you don't require that moment to capture the experience, then this might suit you. I enjoyed watching hunting scenes from all across North America for different game. A five star movie as far as I am concerned.

                        This film is just the best. I have watched it probably 20 times. It just makes me feel good to watch it. I compare it to "A sand county almanac" if your a hunter or just love the outdoors you'll know immediately that the Wensel brothers and the Mittens "get it". No it's not a conventional video full of kill shots but I've seen enough of those in my life. The way huntng movies should be made. Don't skimp out either buy the full length version. You won't regret it.
