I use these pins to hold paper targets to straw bales. They work well and merit five stars relative to their cost. Bear in mind, you should stack your straw bales neatly so that you're pinning to a flat surface and, especially with dry bales, you should angle the pins "in" toward the center of the target for a better bite. Also, if your bales are dry, be sure to hold the paper target against the straw with one hand while pulling the field-pointed arrow out or the arrow may catch on the paper and pull the target out far enough to pop a pin. After a few rains, you can stick the pins straight into the bale and they'll stay put. While they do work and they're cheap, I'd pay another buck or two per set (they last forever if you aren't hitting them with wild shots) if 3R would make them about 2" longer. Another couple inches would eliminate any complaints about them pulling out.
