they were delivered fairly quick, the only thing i didn't like was that i ordered 2 dz. shafts and only recieved 2 shafts. I called an they sent the remainder of the shafts that day so everythin came out right.

Comments about Douglas Fir Tapered Shafting:

Well let's see these shafts will become arrows. Arrows are used in a varity of ways I will use these shafts to build my own arrows for target competition, hunting and roving (stump shooting).
I like this particular "bundle" because they are very consistant in spine weight and when finished they all weighed within 2 or 3 grains of each other. Remarkeable!
As for the bottom guideline---- can't think of a thing!

Comments about Douglas Fir Tapered Shafting:

After checking, 5 shafts were not the right spine (Ordered 60-65, received 5 shafts 57-58)
One shaft end was damaged (cone for nock)
7 of 24 shafts were not right enough

      All other shafts were perfects
      All shafts were nice looking.

This is the first time I have this experience with 3rivers. All other times, the material received, was consistent and good

Comments about Douglas Fir Tapered Shafting:

Flying straight 10 feet out from the bow. Checked the taper with a dial caliper very consistent. Very easy to get a 600 grain arrow with a mid-range weight broadhead. If you are thinking about going back to wood arrows give these a try.

Comments about Douglas Fir Tapered Shafting:

Am only starting to tune but arrows are constucted well and group good.
The shafts did not have those annoying turn lines maybe they were drawn instead of spun. Only drawback for me is they come tapered for a glue on nock. I cut this off and 3 out of the first 7 split while trying to make self nock. I will see if sinew works or if I will need to splice a piece of hardwood on to the end. Kind of like that touch anyway. All and all I am way more impressed than with the cedar I bought. I am a big fan of Dougle Fir but my Lumber store does not carry it anymore.
