This is my first experience with carbon shafts. The spine chart and my local guru differed as to which spine would work for my setup so I ordered Kit C. I followed the bare shaft tuning procedure that was included and was delighted how clearly I could tell which shafts were not right for my bow. Still working on which of two will be my final choice. I will be ordering a dozen of the winner soon!

This a great tool for bare shaft tuning your bow. by getting my bow properly tuned with perfect arrows, I found out that I am a much better shot than my incorrectly spined arrows were leading me to believe! It has really been a game changer for me! The finished Traditional Only Arrows are absolutely beautiful and 3 Rivers does an impeccable job of fletching, cutting to length and installing inserts. These are the best arrows I have ever shot!

An inexpensive way to try different Spined shafts without breaking the bank. Know which Spined shaft your bow prefers by buying this testing kit. I also bought the Fieldpoint weight kit too. Now I know what my bow likes as well as the future bows I will be buying.

The best purchase I've made! I struggled for 1 1/2 yrs trying to tune my first set of Traditional Only arrows to my new recurve. I should have purchased the test kit right off the bat. I cut them 1" longer than my draw length and then things went down hill from there. I finally purchased the test kit and bare tuned the shafts, shortening a 1/4" at a time. Now my new set of Traditional Only arrows fly true! I should have listened to the experts at 3 Rivers Archery back then when they recommended the test kit.

This is an excellent concept put into service. The more "primitive" the bow, the greater the need for proper spine in arrow selection. This kit has all the spines of a given brand arrow. I am pretty confident that this kit can get you to your arrow. Issues that can complicate the matter are broadhead/point weight and arrow length. You hate to glue in an insert if you may need to trim the arrow later. The right target can help reduce lost inserts and tips if not glued in. If the arrow breaches the target's back surface then the tip can keep on going. If it does not breach, the tip may be swallowed up. Plan accordingly. These arrows have no fletching which maximizes the effect of spine. I wonder why the wood shaft test kit arrows are fletched?

package came fast. when i shot the 600 spine with 145 grain head the arrow hit the target and broke right near the L in traditional so i decided thats most likely not the right spine for my 45lb longbow so i went to the 500 and 145 grain heads and it worked just fine id suggest looking into what rough spine you need first

I had to find out what spine I needed for my long bow and the test kit saved me a lot of money by allowing me to shoot arrows of three different spines. Comes with a tuning guide that is easy to use. The arrows were straight and durable, I couldn't ask for more. Great product, thank you 3 Rivers.

I used this product to determine which spine arrows to pick to be sure and not buy arrows that I don't need. The spine that I ended up needing is different than the spine that I was contemplating buying so I am glad that I took advantage of this kit.
