      I would recommend that folks make something rather than spending this much. It works OK, but it's only a piece of rubber. You can find something that will work at a craft or hobby store for a fraction of the price.

      The arrow shaft holder is a good product that does exactly what it is meant to do. Without a doubt, it is a necessary accessory for the grain scale. My only negative comment is that it seems a bit pricy for what it is. Nonetheless, it is a good product and helpful.

          Comments about Grain Scale Arrow/Shaft Holder:

          I use the arrow holder to weigh the shafts prior to building my arrows, and again after I complete the arrows. I also weigh each individual component - inserts, nocks, fletching, and points so I can ensure the completed arrows are within 1 grain of each other. After I build the arrows I again weigh them to see if everthing came out corrctly and to ensure the weights are identical or within 1 grain. This shaft holder makes weighing of the shafts and completed arrows easy to weigh and I do not have to worry about not having any part of the shaft touching the side of the scale as the shafts are elevated a bit to keep them away from anything that would effect the actual weights. Great product and wish I had bought one sooner.
