I've been shooting Eskimo's now for the better part of 15 years. I've never had the first problem with them. I've shot through some very tough bone before and they always come out in perfect condition. I only shoot broadheads no matter what, no field points or judos. While out roving I shot this oak limb from about 30 yards away with an 80# longbow. This limb was not rotten. It split it and still headed through with no problem. Other heads I've used would have curled up upon impact of the limb. Lets say the limb is bone, they both have probably the same density and ability to stop the broadhead on the way through, but not the eskimo. It is strong enough to hold up to what you can throw its way. When I retrieved my arrow, it was still razor sharp. Another great thing about the Zwickeys are that they come to you almost sharp enough to hunt. I've never had to spend time getting a good edge, just a little honing and its off to the woods. Absolutely a great head.

My six pack contained 5 heads at 134 grains and one head at 131 grains. 3 Rivers explained, "The broadheads do not come presharpened. They will only have a factory grind on them. They are left a little heavy so that after they have been sharpened the weight will be close to the specified 125 grains." It's going to take a whole lot of sharpening to reduce the weight from 134 grains down to 125. 1-2 grains is my average sharpening reduction using my Spyderco tri-sharp. For the price, Zwickey needs to either ship them sharpened, or get the weight closer to the advertised grain weight. Nine grains high is too much.

        I have been using these for several months and I love them!I killed a squirrel on the run 15yards and downed him the next arrow did him in with a 30# Montana Longbow!I have hit rocks and trees with little to no damage to the head.One head did curl alittle when it hit a rock but, a tanto tip.To say it in a phrase: they are superb!

          I just finished a new osage self bow and made up a dozen oak hunting shafts for it. I had these broadheads on some other lighter shafts, so I remounted them on the oak hunting shafts I had just finished. I took them out to my straw bale practice target and of course flung one high (my bad). I have a 1/2" x 6" x 4' piece of solid steel laying flat on top of plywood to keep the bales compressed. That Zwickey centered the 1/2" edge of that plate steel and buried the point an 1/8" into it. I had to break off the tip to retrieve it, but a little filing and it is ready to shoot again. The proof is in the pudding! Needless to say, I will never have a worry about the shoulder plate on a whitetail again.

            Really tough points. I had to dig an arrant arrow out of a pine tree with a pry bar. After filling a new edge it was good to go. A few grams lighter and a few dents, the point has more character now.

                Just mounted up another half dozen Eskimos in preparation for deer season (October 1st here in Michigan). I have used lots of different broadheads over the years and been through the good the bad and the ugly of the broadhead world. That being said I must say that I love these Eskimos over and above any of the commercial points I have ever used. When I bought my first package of them 20 years ago I was impressed and a bit skeptical by the note on the packaging that states that one hunter killed over 20 deer with one point, after using them for a couple of years I did have one point that was used to take 3 deer before I lost the arrow the point was mounted on during a hunting trip a couple years back. The only down side I see to the points is the green paint job, I just wish they were a different color.
