a great idea if it worked correctly. those few times when the light lit appropriately on shooting, they made evening shooting very pleasant allowing one to see the arrow flight and position in the target. however, i tried eveything short of gluing to keep them in place, but they kept popping out. when i could get them to stay in place, they frequently wouldn't light when shot.
if they did perchance go on correctly, sometimes i coudn't get them to go out without removing them from the arrow completely.

I frequently participate in an after-dusk target shoot and thought it would be nice to be able to see glowing nocks on my arrows instead of straining to see them in dim light. Though the concept is great, there were a few problems when I attempted to use this product.

First, a bit about my setup. I shoot a 35# Samick Sage recurve with Traditional Only 600 arrows. I purchased the H Nock version to fit my arrows.

The first issue I had was that the nock did not light up at all. It took awhile to figure out that I had to sand off the coating on the rear edge of my arrows to get the proper carbon to metal contact at the nock shoulder. That wasn't much of a problem.

The main issue is that the contact patch is iffy and with repeated use, the nock comes loose causing it to frequently lose electrical contact when it leaves the string or when it hits the target. I've been thinking about applying a conductive grease to the contact points both inside the shaft and at the nock shoulder to help it stay lit.

Overall, I'd say that while it is fun to occasionally see a lighted arrow fly through the air, this nock just does not stay lighted reliably enough to use for anything more serious than a fun target shooting session.
