    This is the kind of bow I received as a kid for my first one. It's inexpensive, rugged, and just the right weight. Since this one is a kit, even if you don't know anything about archery you can be sure that everything will be in there and your child will be able to go out and shoot as soon as they get it. If your child has been bugging you to get them a bow and arrow, consider this set. It's a small investment and if they really get into archery you can always get them a bigger bow later. Then you can pass this one on to someone else.

    Good Bow but not USA made!!!!

    Got this for my 7yo daughter. It is a great bow. Easy to use and she shoots it ever day. That said part of the reason I purchased it is the website states Made...Read complete review

    Got this for my 7yo daughter. It is a great bow. Easy to use and she shoots it ever day. That said part of the reason I purchased it is the website states Made in USA. My daughter opened the box and when I strung the bow there is Made in Taiwan staring at me. I was very disappointed and would have returned it but she was already very excited about it. I wish you guys would correct the ad or better yet tell Bear that they should think about producing it in the USA again.

    This is a wonderful set, my 10 yr old could draw it back and had good aim, the belt quiver included is laim compared to the amazing back quiver we bought separately for our older child. Our 10yr old does not wear belts, we only have a dress belt for him, so the back quiver is MUCH better and worth it!! We need to get one for him... As my daughter is NOT giving hers up!

          The price was right. It showed up in record time. I gave it to my grandson Dean and he just loved. We went out back and after a few minutes of explaining the safety issues etc... he began shooting. At first he found it a bit hard to draw, but after several times he got used to it. We were standing fairly close to the bail of straw and he was hitting it which really made him feel good. I would recommend buying this set for his age group. I had a similar set when I was his age and it brought me back to my childhood.

            My son is 9 years old and did some archery at Boy Scouts and came home and wanted to purchase a bow and arrow. He hunted and searched until finding this one that he really, really wanted. He received it and LOVES it! He has practiced numerous times and everything is still in one piece and ready for more target practice.

              I bought this set for my 8 year old grandson to learn on. He wanted a bow and arrow this year for his birthday. The smile on his face was so worth it! He had some trouble with keeping the arrow on the string as he pulled back but I'm sure he will do fine once he gets the hang of it. He was able to draw the string back without a problem.

                      accurate, somewhat durable, ambadextrice, and an awsome beginners bow.i got this 6 years ago for my 9th b-day. i like it alot and still pull it out to shoot once in a wile. it's accuracy was proven when i was 10, i shot a sqierll from 20 ft away. its durrable because i had it so long. my friends who are right and left handed can shoot it too.

                      bottom line is this bow is great for any one wanting to learn archery.
