I really like side quivers for hunting, and the GFA Quiver is one of, if not the best available. It has myriad adjustments and can be carried in several ways. If you can't adjust it to suit you and find a comfortable carry, you're impossible to please. It's also a bargain compared to the cost of leather or leather covered side quuivers. Great quality for the money as well. I highly recommend the GFA Quiver...

This quiver came apart the first time I put arrows in it. The main shaft pulled out from where the tips go, and the thing simply went in two. It is now glued together. I was surprised at how poorly made it is. The carpet is always peeling off the cover, and I need to frequently re-glue the whole quiver (the main shaft) to keep it together. It moves around on me no matter how/where I place it on my body, and the arrows are hard to get in and out. And this was after I purchased the additional arrow holder to "fit" my 2114's. I bought this quiver because I needed greater arrow capacity than I had with my Great Northern side quiver. What a mistake. The Great Northern is top notch, and this thing is a cheap knock off. Save your money, or spend a little more and get the Great Northern. Sorry to be so negative, but this piece of equipment has frustrated me every time I have taken it out. It stays home now.

Comments about G. Fred Asbell's GFA Side Quiver:

This is a good quiver for the money. The only problem I have with it is the arrow gripper could use some re-engineering. The standard size gripper has a parrallel sided seat so if you shoot woodies like I do, you need to tighten the gripper bolts to squueze the rubber enough to hold the arrows securely. I also ordered the small size arrow gripper which also needed some modification. The gripper does has divets in it to seat the arrow (i wish they did this in the standard size). I had to cut the sides of the seats in order for my arrows to be able to get in the seat. Kind off a pain, but I feel like I won't loose any now. Other than that, it gets the arrows off my back, it super light, and I like it.

I have used it for hares hunting in fields. Very light and versatile (back quiver, side quiver...). It holds firmly wood arrows.
I have only given 3 stars because I had to glue the gripper to avoid sliding along the axis.

Comments about G. Fred Asbell's GFA Side Quiver:

As quivers go I lover to hate my quivers. I purchased this quiver about a year ago. I've used it for 3D archery as well as hunting and its the best investment that I've made thus far for a quiver. The capacity is large enough to carry a few hunting arrows along with a couple of stump shooting or small game arrows. With a simple fletching cover I had no problems protecting my arrows from the rain or snow. I liked it so much that I converted my old 4 arrow Fred bear bow mount quiver by adding a strap to it. I did find that the quiver grippers are somewhat large even for a 22/64 diameter arrow. I purchased a small gripper (item #3102-1) which quickly took care of the issue. No buyers regrets here.

Comments about G. Fred Asbell's GFA Side Quiver:

This light, silent quiver can be set up in many different ways (with 2mm,4mm allen keys). While you may find some setups awkward, others will be perfect. Capacity depends on how your straps are arranged; in some arrangements the strap holders block an arrow position. My personal best so far carries 6 (fletch down) over my left shoulder, nocks easily reached back of my right hip. Tugging the strap slides the arrows up out of the way for working through woods - and you can easily slide arrows under arm or in front for getting through dense brush (I've practiced with the GFA in both) You can carry broadheads and blunts together, pulling the desired type "by feel" remembering which slot they're in. By design, this open frame is not "all weather" but a fletching cover is available; haven't tried that myself.

                Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was quick, and the quiver was well packaged.

Comments about G. Fred Asbell's GFA Side Quiver:

The quiver is Awesome! But I had to fix the Hood as it came off when I took it out of the package. The steal rod is hot glued into the hood which I thought was cheap as the rest of the quiver is really well made. I used Duco cement to put it back together works well. Also it says its a 7 arrow quiver and its not, no way an arrow will fit between the strap attachments and the gripper. Also if there were a screw that went through the hood and into the rod that would be way better. I love it so far really light weight with all Six of my arrows in it.
