Comments about Horn Blocks:

I do not do a whole lot of archery. I am an atlatl thrower and this horn block is great for knocks, spurs and I even used a piece as a practice point. Most of the material I have used has been hard woods and antlers. This horn block is so much more durable and easy to work. This is the perfect piece for custom pieces in which the builder is striving for a truly one of a kind finished product. Beginners should not be apprehensive though. This horn block is also very conducive to quick any easy usability. It is possible to work this material with an extremely sharp blade, however simple poorer tools, such as a Dremmel, make superior finish a breeze.
