        This blank made a good 36 # target bow, about 6 feet long, with two inches of string follow. Front profile is like a longbow, but side profile is definately an American Flatbow. Could not make it work any other way. Thickened bamboo nodes were a bit hard to handle during tillering. Shoots well.

            I have been shooting bows for 30 years and find this bow one of the best I've ever shot. It is very smooth to draw and shoot and gives you a sense of pride knowing you built it yourself. Also you can make what fits your needs and shooting habits as well as any draw weight you desire. Great project for the winter, I will do it again someday.Ken W[...]
