The Magyar bow is inspired by the warrior-archers of the same name. The Magyar were the original Hungarian people, renowned for their horsemanship and archery. Because of their skill with the horse bow, at one point in history these great warriors controlled more territory than the French, being the third greatest power in Europe. Now you can harness that great empire-building power with the Magyar Sport.
The Magyar Sport horse bow is 55" when strung, and smooth to a 30" draw length. The limbs are fiberglass wrapped in leather, with solid wood syhas. Shoots "off the knuckle," so can be shot left or right handed. Color varies. Bow string included.
Available in 35, 40, 45, 50, and 55# @ 28". Please specify.
Remember that with a traditional bow the weight will change depending upon what your draw length is. Bow weight will change approximately Añ2½ pounds for every inch from a bows rated draw length. So a bow rated 45# @ 28" bow is roughly a 42½# @ 27" or 48½# @ 29". Draw weight is marked at the nearest 5# increment to actual weight, (2#'s under and 3#'s over). This is an industry wide standard.
