I don't believe it goes over building the war bow.

  • Q:

Is the instruction in this book applicable to building a historically accurate yew selfbow, including horn nocks and strike plate? Or is the instruction focused more on laminated bows?

      A:

This book does not really deal with laminations. It is more focused on techniques that will work for a selfbow or flatbow.

      A:

The handbook does not spend much time dealing with laminating. It is aimed on self bows and does give adequate instruction on shaping and sizing traditional long bows and American flat bows. The book seems to be written to use in conjunction with any of the long bow kits 3rRivers sells. I is a pretty good start for a beginner.

  • Q:

I was going to build my own traditional bow this summer, but I can't figure out witch style I'm going to make. As this is my first time building a bow, can you give me any suggestions on which style I should build?

Whichever one you want. It will only be as complicated as you want to make it.
