Q: How hot is it? Does it snag on branches and briars? Asked on 5/15/2013 by Jkm Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: It is hot. It may tend to snag more than standard clothing. My gripe is that it has a strong odor, like shoe polish. after washing it still smells like burlap. I prefer the bush in a bag poncho, although it is noisier than this product. Answered on 5/16/2013 by Anonymous A: I do not find it to be hot. I have used it in warm weather and cold. It is like adding an extra layer of clothing. As far as branches and briars, I am sure that you could snag on any of these. I pack in the Shaggie suit and put in on for a ground setup after I get there. I do not use it to walk around and hunt. Answered on 5/16/2013 by Anonymous A: This coat is not real hot because it is made from a mesh type material. The camo material that is sewn on the coat will snag on briars but not to bad. Q: Is this suit net-based , or is it clothing-based ? Asked on 3/7/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: It is a solid piece beneath if that is what you are asking. It does have webbing, but it is a solid cloth piece sewed to it. The burlap and cloth is sewed on top of that then. Answered on 3/8/2012 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery

Q: how small does this pack down? how much does it weigh? is this something you could pack around elk hunting and use when needed? thanks for your time and happy new year. mat Asked on 1/1/2011 by matt from mt Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I put a size large Shaggie Deluxe Ultralight Long coat on the scale (still in the plastic bag with only a little paperwork with it) and it came out to 6 pounds one ounce. So I would say it should be roughly 6 pounds (but as this isn't from the manufacturer I can not say what they will vary from one to the next. They come pre-rolled up and have a shoulder strap so that should be good for your packing needs on an Elk hunt. In the package the dimensions are on the one I weighed: approx 14" x 8.5" round. It could go a little tighter, but I wouldn't go too much tighter. I hope this helps. Answered on 1/4/2011 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery
