    Does this hat fall into the "crushable" category? I am looking for something I can store in my possibles bag between uses.

      According to the tag that came on the hat it is crushable as well as water
      and oil resistant. I haven't really put the crushable part to the test
      extensively, but I haven't been careful with it and it's been buried under
      quivers, packs, bows, etc. And has returned to shape just fine.

      The hat will take some crushing, but if it is repeatedly smashed it can start to loose its shape.

      Yes, the Art Young hat is made in the USA. I just pulled one out of the box to confirm and the inside label says it (in 3 different languages though).
