Q: I am interested in a starter recurve for my 9 year old boy. Is 54" too long. On some sites, I see 54" recommended for 8-10 year old and on others 10-12 years. I just like the red more. Also, what about recommended weight. Ideally he is pulling 18#. I noticed 15#@24 is rather light, and 20#@24 is a fine but requires effort after the a few arrows. Which # to order? Asked on 8/6/2011 by Jonas from MA Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: I would recommend the 20# over the 15#. He will out grow the 15# pretty quick if it is already easy. I look more at the weight than the length of the bow for the age. I think that he will be fine with 54". Answered on 8/19/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery
Q: Your product information indicates the PSE Junior that you offer has 20# limbs. I understand that PSE makes the 54" Junior with 15# take-down limbs too. Is 3Rivers able to special order a PSE Junior (LH Riser) with 15# limbs (w/bowstring and arrow rest)? Asked on 1/10/2011 by Tom from Houston, TX Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: We can do special orders but it requires a 50% down non-refundable. It is the same retail price overall though. This order would have to be placed with our customer service line at 866-587-9501. Answered on 1/11/2011 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery
