  • Q:

Do you choose a right hand bow for a right handed person? Or is it the other way around?

      A:

      The majority of the time a right handed person shoots a right handed bow;
but the dominant eye sometimes can throw a monkey wrench in "cogs". If you
are left eye dominant you should try to shoot a left handed bow. If you are
new to shooting and do not have muscle memory yet, it usually is not a
      problem.
To determine which eye is dominant pick an object 10-30 ft away and with
both eyes open point a finger at it- keep focusing on it and close your left
eye if you are still pointing on it you should be right eye dominant,=right
handed bow. If the object seems to shift to the right you are left eye
      dominant.
Some folks shoot right handed- left eye successfully= so it can be done.
      Hope this helps

      A:

Yes, the dexterity of the bow refers to the hand that is used to pull back the string. For the most part a RH person will need a RH bow and a LH person will need a LH bow.

      A:

Draw is the distance between the bow and her anchor when she is at full draw. I recommend getting the larger version for her age range.

      A:

Yes, I recommend you go with something around 54" to 58". That will be smoother for her to draw.

      A:

My own girl is 2 1/2" right now (as tall as a 4 year old though) and I plan on getting her a pink Pilgrim Squirt (if I do not build her a bow that is). I believe you will be very happy with the Pilgrim Squirt.

We recommend the Pilgrim Longbow for ages 6-16.

    • A:

Anywhere from about 7-16. Before that, get the squirt, after that, get a full sized bow.
