  • Q:

I use thumb release and the arrow rides on my thumb, not my pointer finger. Can the hole cover the thumb and the webbing between the thumb and pointer finger?

It covers the webbing between the thumb and forefinger, but I'm not sure what you mean by cover the thumb.

It covers a little bit of your thumb but mostly the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger.

      Hi

I shoot European style so I don't have this problem and my Robin Hood bracer works well for me.

Extra protection for the bow hand - for people who use a thumb release - could be provided by adding either a whole or half 'thumb' - (like from a glove) - to the bracer rather than the thumb hole which is there currently. I've attached a couple of photos of examples I found on other websites which are designed for this kind of shooting. It would mean an adaption to the current design.

      Hope this is helpful.

Try moving your hand around. It doesnt matter as long as it is comfortable
and not kicking the arrow. If you are shooting a bow with no shelf try the
otherside just have fun play around do what feels right. Good hunting see
      you out there.

  • Q:

My wrist measures 5.5 inches and the largest part of my forearm is 8.5 with length from the inside bend of my elbow to my wrist being 8.5 inches, I know you do not currently have these in ladies' sizes, but I really want one; would I be able to adjust this down to fit me? If not do you foresee adding small sizes in the near future?

These bracers are laced all the way up. You may be able to use the sizes that we do have available. The medium should be close to fitting. You can tighten the laces to make the bracer significantly smaller.

As of right now we do not have any plans to introduce a smaller size. I suggest the idea to management.

  • Q:

Your other Robin Hood bracer seems to afford good protection for shooting off the hand. How does the embroidered bracer compare in terms of protection and durability (again, strictly speaking in terms of shooting off the hand)?

Also, I did not see any measurements for the embroidered bracer; are they comparable to the sizes of the other Robin Hood bracer?

Thank you very much for your time!

      A:

Both Robin Hood bracers are made with the same materials and to the same sizes. The embroidered version just has the extra work put into it to make it look that much better.

  • Q:

How does this translate to a woman's arm?

      A:

They are a little wider than our women's sizes that we offer in the standard Robin Hood Bracer. You would have to wrap them around the arm a little tighter to get them to fit. We may pick women sizes up at a later date, but at this point we just have the men's sizing as they have been the more popular.

  • Q:

I am curious to know which size would be more appropriate for me. The length of my arm - from the webbing between my thumb & 1st finger to the bend in my arm (at the bicep) is 12 inches. It would be my guess that the smaller of the sizes would be the most appropriate. Is that correct? Would it make a difference if I got the longer one instead (protection at the upper forearm) or would it be too long & cumbersome?

I recommend that you go with the smaller version. The shorter and longer models should both fit you.
