Q: How does the thickness of this gloves finger tips compare to the Damascus glove? Asked on 1/14/2013 by Bill Know the answer? Answer this question 4 answers A: About the same as I recall. But note that both of them are fitted quite small and tight. I ordered one using the fitting guidelines but had to return it as it was too small. Answered on 1/17/2013 by Anonymous A: The glove is much thicker. It is also very soft. I am not a fan of the Damascus glove because it offers so little protection. It’s a very good glove, I highly recommend. Answered on 1/15/2013 by Anonymous A: The Berlin is thicker and better quality Answered on 1/15/2013 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery A: Thickness of fingertips on this glove is just fine. I can shoot for an hour without feeling any effect on my fingertips. I would definitely buy another. I'm a woman with small hands and the glove fits very well although the velcro wrist tab could stand to be an inch shorter in the small size glove that I have. Also the reinforced index finger stitching hits right where my forefinger hooks the string (first finger joint) which is not a good location so I've adapted to hooking the string closer to my fingertip to stay away from that seam and get a smooth release. The glove gets used several times per week and has gotten wet and had pretty consistent use for 6 months or so. It is still soft & pliable and has adapted to my hand nicely. Only a few scrapes so far but none affect the glove function. Answered on 1/14/2013 by Anonymous

Q: I'm thinking of getting one of these for my 14-year-old daughter, but not for archery. She's a figure skater and is constantly cutting her fingers doing things called "haircutter" and "Biellmann" spins, both of which involve grabbing the amazingly sharp blade of one skate while simultaneously spinning. Two questions: Is this a brain-dead idea? And what size would be right for a girl who's 5'5"? Asked on 8/24/2010 by SkaterDad from Cary, NC Know the answer? Answer this question 3 answers A: Well, I can not really say how well the glove will hold up to the use you are planning. It is a quality leather, but I can not promise it can take that kind of punishment from a sharp blade (skate). As for sizing, try our sizing chart at: http://www.3riversarchery.com/3riverssizingcharts.asp#shootinggloves/tabsAnswered on 8/25/2010 by Johnathan Karch from 3Rivers Archery A: Hello SkaterDad, These gloves have pretty thick fingers on them. I believe they may work. The rest of the glove is semi thin though. I would definetly not try it with any of the other gloves! I'm around 5' 6" and i bought a medium. Hope this helps. -OhioBowhunter Answered on 3/2/2011 by OhioBowhunter from Magnolia,Ohio A: I wouldn't recommend it for that particular use. While these gloves are superb for pulling back a string. I don't believe they would be good for a young lady to use to protect her fingers from a sharp blade. The leather on these gloves is very soft and durable but not "cut proof".
