      Yes, if your compound has ATA Accessory (AMO Sight) inserts. Which, most (if not all) do have.

    I made my own recurve bow and have 60# and 45# limbs. i want to get into bowfishing. Would i have to make any modifications to install a AMS Retriever Pro Bow Fishing Reel?

      The Retriever reel mounts to standard sight bushings. As long as you have those installed in your bow you will not need to make any modifications.

      A:

      You made your own recurve bow. There isn't much people can do for you on
      that one. If you made it with AMO sights (also known as ATA accessory),
      plunger, and front stabilizer brass bushings. With these bushings you can
      install bow sights, bow fishing reels, plunger with elevated rest, and/or a
      stabilizer.
      good luck. Personally, I would have saved myself a ton of time and bought

      This kit will work, but you will need the AMS adapter to mount the reel to the bow. The use of an arrow rest will be a personal preference.

      Yes, but you may need to purchase an "AMS Bowfishing Traditional Mount
      Adapter" if your bow does not have taps in the right location to mount
      it. This is available at 3 Rivers for $30.
      No, I would never use an arrow rest because I cant/lean the bow to
      shoot.

      I feel either the Roller rest or the AMS Tidal Wave rest are the best for Bowfishing. The rollers on these rests really help the arrow glide across it with less drag.

    Why does 3Rivers not offer this kit in a left handed model? To buy all the components seperately for a left hander costs considerably more. It would seem that 3Rivers could send left handed components without penetalizing left handed shooters.

      The model of reel used for this kit is not being made in a LH model right now. That is why the LH version of the kit was discontinued.
