Ask A Question
My Buffalo limbs say medium on them, does this mean I have the 60 or 62 inch configuration?

I now own a Hoyt Dorado 60" 40 lb bow with the 19" riser. I want to add limbs to make it 62" long at 50 lb. Will these Buffalo limbs fit the Dorado riser without making any changes? Also what length limbs would it take to make it a 62" length with my 19" riser?

No, the Dorado and Buffalo do not have the same attachment system. You can not mix limbs.

Dorado limb system and buffalo limb system are made differently from each other and I’m also sure Dorado limbs come in one length only.
Your best options would be get the desire poundage with the same limb system like (Dorado 50lb) as for making your bow 62” you may have to find other longer limbs that will fit the Dorado riser.
Hope it helps

I'm new to Traditional archery.....What is the difference in the Hoyt Buffalo short and medium limbs? Is it a feel thing, or is there a reason a person should get a medium instead of a short?

your bow should be at least twice as long as your draw.
The longer you go the smother the bow draws.

I apologize if this is a dumb question, but does the product (Fred Eichler BUFFALO™ Hoyt Recurve Limbs // http://www.3riversarchery.com/fred+eichler+buffalo%26%238482%3B+hoyt+recurve+limbs_i25405X_baseitem.html) include 2 limbs or just one? It wasn't specified which is why I'm asking. Thanks.

You get the upper and lower limb, shorts are for the 60", and medium for the 62".
