The first two numbers correspond to the outside diameter and the second two numbers show the wall thickness. For example, a 2016 will have an OD of 20/64 or 5/16 and the wall thickness will be .016; A 2117 would have any outside diameter of 21/64 and a wall thickness of .017. Q: it is stated that "We recommend 5/16" points with the 500 shafting, and 11/32" points with the 400, 340, and 300 shafting." so in the matter of choosing inserts/points one would use 11/32 for the 400, 340 and 300 spines? 11/32 is the internal diameter for those spines? With aluminum arrows the 4 numbers are actually the size of the shaft. The first two numbers over 64 will give you the outside diameter and the last two numbers will give you the wall thickness. You will want to watch the arrows and see if they are kicking or drifting left or right. If you are a right handed shoot, the arrow going left means that it is too weak, the arrow going right means that it is too stiff. Answer this question 1 answer A: The test kit is just shafts with nocks installed and loose inserts. You can then bare shaft tune to find what length to cut the arrows and what point weight.
