I always use my deer set up & broadheads for groundhogs , raccoons , etc.....Coons are small bears , and Boar coons are small Grizzlies ...Least in attitude ;) These type heads are great for squirrel , rabbit sized prey and stump killing ;) Answered on 3/29/2013 by Anonymous A: Penetrates more than you might expect, but effective. Depends on draw weight I suppose. Far more lethal than rubber "bunny" type blunts. I would think the greater issue would be shot placement, hitting a raccoon with a 3 blade broadhead should be leathal. I like these for varmints and stumping but if I didn't care about losing or destroying arrows on small targets I'd choose slick trick 4 blade broadheads. Lethal on anything. Cheers, Tim. Q: I would like to shoot these at a target, stump shoot, and occasionally shoot small game with the "Hammer Head." What material should I use to shoot these at a target; foam, clothes, rags, ect. Do you guys sell any recommended block targets that I could buy? I currently shoot a foam block target by Redhead. My field points go in about 4-7 inches in. Thanks 3RiversArchery! I would worry about them just bouncing off, as turkey feathers are like armor, stopping even some shotgun bb's. You would probably be fine because your arrow seems to be very fast, but I wouldn't want a wounded bird. With a head shot though, they will give that gobbler more than just a headache.
