Q: Should I use the same size as my wood arrows or 1/32" larger. (It is going over "bullet point" tips.) I am concerned about getting them on the arrows. After a couple impacts the point can start to push through the rubber. You want to match the size to what you will be sliding them over, whether it is the point or the shaft. Answered on 5/3/2013 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: I used the same size as my arrows and they fit perfect...however I used directly on untapered shaft. if your points have larger outside diameter you need larger size. Q: I see on the product description that this item is not suitable for SCA events, but can anyone comment on this specific product's use in Viking reenactment (vikingsonline.org)? I would not use them over field points in heavier poundage bows over 55# because you will push the tip of the point through the blunt on a hard impact.
