Will no work on smaller.. 11/31 is pretty much the standard wood arrow shaft diameter until you get into the real heavy weights. Answer this question 1 answer A: I have found that the Hammers have more pronounced corners and tend to catch brush better; they perform a little more like Judos than the Hexes do. Q: I shoot 160gr blunts. However I see they come in 145 or 175grs. Could I get away with an extra 15grs and still shoot consistent to 30yds before it effects my high or low? You can use led shot inside a glue on, and brass washers on a screw in to make it 160 grain. I personally would not worrie about 15 grains. Answered on 12/18/2012 by Dave from 3Rivers Archery A: It depends on where the spine of the arrows is in relation to the bow you are shooting. If you are on the upper end of the spine range by adding 15grs it won't matter. You will still be within that spine range. But if you are on the low end or on the border of that spine range by adding 15grs it may make your shafts slightly weak for your bow. Answered on 12/16/2012 by David A: They will effect your low-high to some degree, how much depends alot on your arrow weight before adding a blunt. But i do believe the change would be minimal. Answer this question 4 answers A: You will want to get the same weight that you normally use on your arrows. Using more or less weight could effect the flight of the arrow. Answered on 8/29/2011 by Justin from 3Rivers Archery A: That will depend on the spine of your shafts. Adding weight up front means you will need stiffer spined shafts. If you add weight to the front you will improve your front of center (FOC) which can make for better flight, but it is mainly for improved penetration, which is not necessarily what you want in a blunt. They should fly the same as field points and broadheads if your arrows are tuned right. All points weigh the same. Answer this question 2 answers A: The Ace Hex Blunt will work for the set up you are looking for, as they should not bury in the ground if you miss, but the broadheads will have a larger cutting diameter to cause damage. I would check local game laws to see if they have any requirements on what heads to use, but either would work fine.
