  • Q:

What size should I get for Beman ICS 340's?
Also, should they slide all the way to the feathers? I have some and They slide back to my feathers as soon as I release the arrow.

      A:

I will let the experts @ 3 Rivers recommend the suggested size but no they should not slide back to your feathers upon release. It sounds to me like they are too large in diameter for your shafts. I use these for turkey hunting behind my broadheads & even practicing with them on a target they only slide up the shaft as far as the arrow penetrates the target.

You will want to use the 19/64 size for the ICS arrows. These will slide all the way to the feathers. If you do not want them to slide I would recommend to use the grasshopper rings that are permanent behind the point.

These never worked good for me. They would slide down my arrows shafts way too easy. I stopped using them.

These are for turkey hunting I wouldn't repeatedly shoot a target with them.

These are designed to slide down your arrow on impact to minimize penetration. I would not use them target shooting.

      A:

Use the smaller diameter scorpio for sure on the 3555. If it is still too
loose, slide a 5mm 0ring on the shaft ahead of the the scorpio and it will
keep it snug against the back of the broadhead. Uncle Tom

I shoot Easton 1816 aluminum shafts with diameter of 9/32". The smallest stopper is 19/64" (1/64" larger) will they be too loose on the shaft?

      19/64" will work

      A:

      Tom's answer:
Yes the 19/64" stopper will be too loose. However, if you slide either a
5mm ID or 6mm ID 0ring over the shaft behind the stopper it will hold the
it snug against the base of the broadhead. There will be enough resistance
with the stopper pushing the 0ring up the shaft. I shoot MFX Classic 340's
      and this works well.

Tom's answer is the best way to do that because they don't make one to fit that size shaft.
