      A:

      The OD of your 2315 shafts is 23/64. Any point size will fit and work fine,
      but the 11/32 will look the best at just a touch smaller than your shafts.

      Carbon shafts come in various diameters, usually 9/32 or 5/16". Match the
      point diameter to that. The tapered field point is the most versatile;

      A:

      A 11/32 diameter field point is the correct point for a 2219 shaft.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

      The 5/16" example pictured is a field point, yet the 9/32" example is
      more of a "target" point. Shop for a field tip that *matches the outside
      diameter *of your shaft, which you must determine.

    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

      A hunting arrow should be relatively heavy. A mass difference of 5 grains will make a minute percentage difference to arrow performance. I would be content to practice with 145 grain field points in preparation for a 150 grain BH.

      Answered on 10/7/2013 by Anonymous
    • VERIFIED BUYER

      A:

      I assume that you are using very rigid carbon arrow shafts (over 300), because you have use boardheads. So 5 grain different should not matter on standard hunting distance, but on greater lenghts you have to rise your targeting slightly.
