  • Q:

In the reviews for this product I saw several people say that hunting was one of the best uses. Are these points legal to hunt with? If so, what kind of game would they be effective with?

      A:

You will have to check each state individually for hunting laws. I would not recommend these points for anything larger than a squirrel or rabbit.

      A:

You could probably hunt squirrels and small game with them, but they are
almost certainly not legal for use on any kind of large game, and
probably wouldn't be very effective either, especially compared to a
      broadhead.

      A:

One should always check with your local game regulations to ensure that your
equipment meets the requirements for both your given area as well as the
type of game you are after. The classic medieval points are slightly more
aggressive than the more modern field points and can be used in for target
shooting applications. Due to their shape they do require more effort to
remove from the target and create a larger entrance hole.

  • Q:

?Could these be put on a short broadhead adapter to be used with carbon arrows?

      A:

Yes, you can use an adapter to make it into a screw in point. The long adapter will give you a better hold than the short.

I know it says for 11/32 but can these be used For 10/32 shafts?

If the taper is a standard 5 degree taper than yes, they will fit. Might go a little past the taper though on the arrow shaft. Will make it harder to pull out of targets.

What diameter of wood shaft will make the fit flush?

      A:

These points will have a 11/32 Ferrel. So they will fit flush to an 11/32 shaft.

    • A:

I just bought these, and they look great; However, the 11/32 points will NOT fit flush to an 11/32 shaft. I don't know if they could be made to fit flush to the size shaft they are marked as. Rather, they fit slightly wider than the shaft once they are fitted to the taper. These are in keeping with the look of an actual medeival arrow point, which tended to be put on over the shaft. These points fly as well as any of the other styles of glue-on field points, and look better. If you want a bodkin-like point without the additional weight, these are for you.
