A:
Measuring from the ferrule to the tip the 160 grain is 2 5/8". The blade length measured 2 1/2".

A:
Glad to help. The measurements that I came up with are 1) just shy of 2 and 1/4 inches or approximately 57mm., just the blade, not including ferrule. Rich H.

Q:
The 3-pack of Woodsman Elite BHs in 125 gr glue-on that I bought when they first came out are smaller in total diameter than the original 125 gr (vented) Woodsmans. Has that changed so that they are now as wide as the originals? The wording in the online catalog description is confusing, as it states (literally) that the heavier 160 and 190 gr Woodsmans are 1 1/8", same as the original Woodsman. What about the 125 gr glue-on? (I don't like the narrower width of the 125 gr ELITE Woodsmans I bought earlier, so I've stuck with the originals).
Also, I still have to take a lot off the originals with a mill bas#@*! (sorry, it would not let me say a naughty word) file to get the 3 blades equally straight/meeting the file surface. What gives? Can't they do that at the factory?
Thanks!

A:
The 125 grains heads have a 1" cutting diameter.
The design of the originals gives them a slight convex to the blade. You can straighten them if you like, but it is not necessary.

This fall I killed a 5X5 Bull Elk with Woodsman Elite BHs in 160 gr glue-on and Tred Barta Arrow. The 125 grain is not something I can comment on. I received more than adequate penetration.

A:
No, carbon arrows require a screw in point. You will need to get the screw in version of this head for those shafts.

will the Woodsman Elite Glue-on fit a 5/16" shaft?

A:
Yes, it will glue on to a 5/16 shaft, it will just come down over the taper. You will want to use a little more glue than usual and double check the straightness of the point.

Is it better to have a 4 blade broadhead or a 3 blade broadhead if im shooting a recurve?

A:
There is no right or wrong answer her, but in my opinion with lower the draw weight the less blades I would use. For better penetration and the heavier the draw weight bow the bigger the broadhead (blades and sizing) I would use for better blood trails.

I bought "fletched Beman ICS Bowhunter Arrows" and "Woodsman ® ELITE 3-Blade broadheads Glue-On 125grain" and I need Glue-In Broadhead Adapters, but I do not know which one to buy or what size to buy?

Do these fit on 23/64ths shafts or do I need to specify that size in the order?

A:
The glue-on Woodsman ELITE are 11/32" in diameter, but they do fit on 23/64" wood arrows. You will see a bit of the taper behind the broadhead, but it will be fully seated on the taper. I can not think of any broadheads that are 23/64" in diameter though.
